Complaints policy – its good practice to have somewhere patients can give feedback or issue the practice with a complaint. Therefore having such documents on your website or available in a central place at your practice for patients convenience.
GDPR policy : GDPR was introduced in May 2018 – practices must demonstrate they are compliant and meeting requirements.
Computer Hardware and software policy:
Backup – if you don’t use external company who is responsible for manual backups
Hardware and software maintenance and upkeep
Disaster Recovery plan
Critical incidents or Events – Policy on who records and reports such events. A computerised record to record all events that need to addressed.
Emergency Equipment /Medicine Policy: who is responsible for calibration and upkeep of medicine expiry dates and oxygen ordering.
Fridge & vaccine storage policy – accountability to record fridge at correct temperature
Communications policy and consent from patients to text or email
